A very warm welcome to our subscribers for this, our second fully Digital Edition of the Halls Creek Herald.
Before I forget, a Happy and Belated New Year to one and all.
Well my Christmas and New Year was very quiet, I welcomed my daughter Shania to my very humble shanty in Thailand and it was great to see her after almost 3 years.
Both Shania and I talked for many hours about what we had been up to and more importantly, I asked her advice on the best way forward into the digital age for the Halls Creek Herald.
We worked together to come up with this concept and we both feel after lengthy testing that this idea is easy and effective and it enables us to cover more news, not only from a local level but also on a regional and state level.
This was no small task, and to be honest with you, it is all a bit frightening for someone like me that has always printed hard copy newspapers. But, I am slowly getting used to the idea.
It is very important to hear from you, our readers and subscribers on how you feel about this way of delivering news. So please feel free to drop us a line.
You might notice that I wrote an open letter to the new CEO of the Shire of Halls Creek, as I feel there is unfinished business as a result of the former CEO’s disgraceful performance. Hopefully we will hear back from the new CEO with some answers.
By the way, don’t be afraid to send of a Letter To The Editor if something has gotten under your skin. We would love to hear from you.
Enjoy the read and the digital experience.
