My name is Shadae Boylan and I am an Endo Champion for Endometriosis Australia, I am hosting an awareness event in Kununurra in conjunction with Endometriosis Australia on Saturday 23rd March. This is the only awareness event above Perth in Western Australia, for a disease that effects over 700,000 women in Australia and I am also the only rural and remote Endo champion associated with the charity.
I need help not only raising the profile of the disease but to also make sure that we, out here in the rural and remote areas throughout ALL of Australia are not forgotten. We are more at risk than those in the cities because our services are not as easily accessible, I have struggled and continue to struggle with this disease and I want to make sure that the future women of our country are not restricted by Endometriosis.
I was fortunate enough to a guest on SBS Demand in November to advocate and raise awareness for the disease, I have sponsorship from Outback Magazine for the event and will be doing an interview in the near future and I also will be the Keynote Speaker for the official Endometriosis Australia High Tea Event in Perth on March 30th. I have attached my blog for some background information on myself which is also available on the Endometriosis Australia website.
I would greatly appreciate any help to further the cause so that less women suffer.
